About The Last Patrol

The Last Patrol is a Northwest Ohio nonprofit organization founded by brothers John and Jeff Nowakowski. For more than 30 years, we have taken history into our communities through military vehicles, equipment, artifacts, displays, educational programs and public events.

Our work grew from a desire to preserve military history into a larger mission: preserve the stories of the people who served, make history accessible to the public, and use that history to teach and inspire young people.

Our Mission

To preserve the stories and material history of those who served, inspire appreciation for history and freedom, and prepare young people through immersive education, leadership, mentorship and hands-on learning.

Our Approach

People come before positions. Teaching matters more than simply displaying. We believe in respect, accuracy, service, teamwork, humility and lifelong learning. We encourage people to ASK — because the best learning often begins with a question.
