History of MSB26517
In 1996 MSB26517 was built and transferred to USCGC Resolute (WMEC-620). During this time MSB26517 served as USCGC Resolute surf boat and designated as RES 1.
In 2008 the MSB26517 was sold by the United States Coast Guard to Arthur Dalton. It is unknown what Mr. Dalton used the vessel for during his time as owner.
In 2011 MSB2617 was sold to David Stokes of Saginaw Michigan. During Mr. Stokes ownership of MSB26517 was used to support operations of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary in the Saginaw River and Saginaw Bay in Michigan.
In the summer of 2019 Mr. Stokes donated the MSB to The Last Patrol as part of the museum and for use with training the US Naval Sea Cadets and other youth groups.
